Strategic Partnerships & Joint Ventures

Joint ventures · Licensing · Co-development

Exploration companies, infrastructure operators, and sovereign institutions bring ground, assets, and datasets. Subterrane brings the structural intelligence layer. The partnership determines who finds what the structure has already organised.

Subterrane’s preferred partnership model is deployment through exploration licences. Structural resolution applied directly to a partner’s acreage, in exchange for equity participation, royalty, or project-level exposure.

The structural resolution is field-documented. Commercial application is evidenced by a formal agreement with an AIM-listed exploration company, two RNS announcements on the London Stock Exchange, and independent external evaluation is ongoing. A decade of continuous structural resolution has produced a published corpus of structural analyses across four continents. The deployment pathway is operational. What partnerships unlock is scale.

Critical Minerals – Structural Resolution JV
Preferred Model

The global energy transition requires discovery of more than 1,000 new mineral deposits by 2040. Copper, lithium, nickel, cobalt, and rare earths are the primary constraint. Exploration companies hold licences across prospective belts but apply pattern recognition and historical correlation to target generation. That approach produces ranked probabilities against known discoveries.

Subterrane applies a different method. The Causality Lens™ resolves the governing structural architecture underlying deposit emplacement – the structural corridors, transfer nodes, and emplacement geometry that organised concentration before any drill touched the ground. Applied to a partner’s licence package, it identifies which areas are structurally consistent with concentration, and which are not. That distinction changes where capital goes.

The same architecture that resolved drill-ready kimberlite targets in South Africa governs copper belt emplacement in the Kalahari, lithium emplacement in the Andes, and nickel laterite distribution across the Indonesian Archipelago. The same structural framework can be applied across different deposit systems and geological settings.

What the partner brings
  • Exploration licences across named mineral belts
  • Existing geological and geophysical datasets
  • Field operations and in-country access
  • Regulatory standing and market presence
What Subterrane deploys
  • Gravitational causal architecture across the licence package
  • Structural corridor and node resolution
  • Prioritised target sequence for capital deployment
  • Atlas structural data products for resolved corridors
JV structure
  • Equity participation or royalty tied to discovery confirmation – milestone-based
  • Earn-in model: structural resolution deployed against defined work programme
  • Causality Lens™ methodology remains Subterrane IP; structural outputs jointly owned under defined terms
  • Jurisdictions: South Africa, Botswana, Indonesia, Central America, East Africa – existing resolution documented. Other jurisdictions on enquiry.

Botswana Minerals plc (formerly Botswana Diamonds PLC, AIM: BMIN) · January 2020

An AIM-listed exploration company entered a formal commercial agreement with Subterrane to apply the structural targeting methodology across specified South African diamond resources. The agreement was announced via two RNS statements on the London Stock Exchange. A qualified geologist with over 33 years of diamond sector experience assessed the targeting outputs and stated publicly that five drill-ready targets had been identified with structures similar to the Marsfontein pipe.

This is the documented commercial structure: a listed exploration company brought ground and market standing; Subterrane brought structural resolution; the arrangement was contingent on First Success with no upfront payment. The agreement documents both the commercial framework and the strongest external assessment in the Subterrane record – a publicly accountable party’s statement on the targeting outputs. No First Success was reached. The structure remains the template for critical minerals JV engagement.

Three further engagement models operate alongside the primary JV pathway. Each addresses a different counterparty and a different deployment surface from the same structural resolution capability.

Infrastructure Operator – CIM Structural Baseline
CIM Phase 1

Operators of LNG terminals, pipeline networks, underground storage, port facilities, and grid infrastructure carry structural exposure not captured by inspection or compliance monitoring. CIM Phase 1 establishes structural baseline where none currently exists – resolving asset position within the gravitational stress field before failure expression. Three tiers from €5,000 to €30,000. No site instrumentation required.

Partner brings
  • Named asset or infrastructure corridor
  • Existing operational condition data
  • Defined scope and timeline
Subterrane delivers
  • CIM exposure score
  • Primary structural drivers
  • Interface risk mapping
  • Capital relevance summary
Data Partners – Atlas Corridor Integration
Atlas

Organisations that need resolved structural corridor data integrated into their own analytical environments – risk platforms, insurance models, sovereign mapping systems, ESG frameworks – can licence Atlas products directly or engage Subterrane to produce bespoke corridor resolutions for named jurisdictions. Compatible with QGIS, ArcGIS, and sovereign mapping environments.

Partner brings
  • Named corridors or jurisdictions
  • Integration environment
  • Defined data requirements
Subterrane delivers
  • GeoTIFF, SHP, GeoJSON, KML
  • Causal structure vector networks
  • Metadata and licence documentation
Sovereign and Academic – Methodology Co-Development
Sovereign Scale

National geological surveys, university research institutions, and government ministries hold sovereign-scale datasets not yet processed against the Causality Lens™ framework. A formal co-development agreement grants the institution rights to apply the methodology to their territorial datasets and produce joint publications – with Subterrane retaining IP and methodology rights.

Partner brings
  • Sovereign territorial datasets
  • Institutional standing
  • Co-publication capacity
Subterrane delivers
  • Methodology transfer
  • Territorial structural resolution
  • Co-authorship rights
  • Pathway to sovereign CIM deployment

Subterrane is the structural intelligence layer that exploration companies, infrastructure operators, and sovereign institutions need before they decide where to deploy capital.

The right partnership begins with one question: do you have ground, assets, or datasets where knowing the structural substrate would change what you do next?
